    The Po Lam Estate autonomous vehicle testing project under Baidu's "Apollo Go" will hold Hong Kong's first public trial ride event in Tung Chung from the 20th of this month to the 3rd of next month, with a route running back and forth between Yat Tung Estate and the Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung Hotel, and a journey of about 15 minutes. A backup operator will be on board at the time, while remote backup operation will also be tested. Baidu said it hopes to deepen the public's understanding of autonomous driving.

    HK General Chamber of Commerce Chairman King Chau said Hong Kong's full-year economic growth is expected to reach the government's forecast growth range of 3.5% to 4.5%.     Baidu will hold Hong Kong's first Apollo Go self-driving car public ride trial in Tung Chung from the 20th of this month to the 3rd of next month. Deputy Commissioner for Transport (Public Transport Affairs and Management) Kwok Wai-ying today (10th), together with members of the Working Group on the Promotion of Applications for Autonomous Vehicles, inspected the progress of the Tung Chung test project and took a trial ride first. Members said the autonomous car performed stably, safely and smoothly throughout the journey.
