The Measures set out the eligibility requirements for examination registration, the procedures for applying to practise and the scope of practice, and stipulate that the relevant examination will be held once every two years. The pilot scheme for Greater Bay Area lawyers expired on the 4th of this month, and the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress has passed an amendment to the Lawyers Law to make the system permanent.

Autonomous vehicle testing project in Tung Kwong runs smoothly

The Transport Department's Working Group on the Promotion of Applications for Autonomous Vehicles inspected an autonomous vehicle testing project in Tung Kwong, North Lantau, today and took a ride in an autonomous private car, with the whole journey stable and smooth. The Transport Department said this was the working group's first on-site inspection of an autonomous vehicle testing project. Members include autonomous driving research scholars, information technology experts and stakeholders, who can directly exchange with pilot operators on the latest technological developments and application experience. The department encourages operators to continuously refine their technology based on feedback from passengers of the ride activity, enabling the public to experience convenient travel.

Huanggang Port adopts co-operative inspection and one-time clearance, travellers queue once to complete Hong Kong-Shenzhen immigration

The rebuilt Huanggang Port adopts the model of "co-operative inspection and one-time clearance". Travellers using automated channels need only queue once and present their document once to complete immigration procedures for both Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Eligible persons can register through the Immigration Department's "Hong Kong e-Channel" app, and those aged 14 or above can also register for "facial-recognition clearance" at the same time. Before use, they must first complete registration for the Mainland's express channels.

食安中心提醒新皇崗口岸啟用前勿非法攜帶未徹底煮熟野味肉類入境

食環署食安中心提醒市民，新皇崗口岸將於十月十二日啓用，從任何口岸返港均不得非法攜帶未經徹底煮熟的野味、肉類、家禽和蛋類入境。根據《進口野味、肉類、家禽及蛋類規例》（第132AK章），相關食物須附來源地衞生證明書或食環署書面准許，違例者最高可罰款五萬元及監禁六個月，二○二五年食安中心共對2 148宗個案提出檢控。

The "iAM Smart" 18111 mental health support hotline provides 24-hour service and, as at 30 September this year, had offered immediate support to nearly 352,900 calls and 6,250 WhatsApp messages. The "Let's Talk Shall We Talk" special website has recorded more than 4.4 million page views.
