The FTU cited the Civil Service Bureau as saying that about more than 200 Hong Kong Post staff whose probation periods had ended and who could only be reappointed on civil service contracts will be offered new transfer arrangements, and will receive priority hiring when applying for other civil service positions. Pay for transfer to new civil service positions will generally not be lower than the current arrangement, and those applying for assistant administrative officer or clerical assistant posts may receive flexibility waivers on educational requirements. Investigations found that Prosperity Investment Management added recruitment conditions without consent, submitted false results of local open recruitment, and refused without reasonable justification to hire eligible job seekers, while Wo Fu Kee Noodle Shop (Tsuen Wan) involved refusal to hire without reasonable justification.

勞工及福利局局長孫玉菡表示，外籍家庭傭工規定最低工資上調120元、增幅百分之二點三五，即日生效，是沿用既定機制的平衡做法。他指調整參考經濟表現、通脹及僱主收入，去年加幅為110元，過去年均加幅約百分之二至二點五，全港約有38萬名外傭。
