The mall has a gross floor area of 139,000 square feet, with retail and market each accounting for about 64,000 and 16,000 square feet respectively, and will serve a population of 30,000 in the Anderson Road community. Lo Yan-kei, Head of Hong Kong Asset Management at Link REIT, said the group will look for opportunities to build its own shopping malls in future as needed.

    HSBC raises cash rebate on large mortgages to 1.5%

    HSBC has again raised the cash rebate ratio for large mortgages, with the rebate on loans of $6 million or more raised to 1.45%, and loans of $14 million or more increased to 1.5%. The increase does not distinguish between fixed-rate and HIBOR-linked mortgages, with both types eligible for the higher rebate. At the end of last month, HSBC had cut the cash rebate on fixed-rate mortgages to 1.25%, while keeping that for HIBOR-linked mortgages at 1.3%.

    A new dataset "Monthly statistics on instruments received for registration (2021-2026)" has been uploaded to data.gov.hk, aggregating by month different categories of instruments for registration, agreements for sale (ASP) of building units by region, and first-hand and second-hand residential unit transaction figures. The data are updated monthly, and the statistics generally cover land transactions up to four weeks before submission for registration, owing to the time lag between the signing of documents and their submission for registration.
