Electrical and Mechanical Services Department Inspects All Lifts Installed by Tairi, Expects More Missing Door Frame Components
The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department says that because lifts replaced by Tairi Elevator (Hong Kong) Company Limited were completed without door frame components installed, the department will finish inspecting all lifts installed by Tairi across Hong Kong within a few days starting Friday. The department has required other registered lift contractors to carry out the same checks and submit reports, with the work to be completed by mid-November, and has mobilised the lift association to help speed up installation of door frame components. The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department has set up a dedicated page showing inspection and installation progress.
Why read this: The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department explains the inspection progress, the scope of checks required of contractors and the mid-November completion deadline, and has set up a dedicated page to publish installation progress so readers can check whether their building is on the list.
