DATA.GOV.HK has uploaded the simplified Chinese version of historical beach water quality data, covering 1986 to 2025. DATA.GOV.HK's property market statistical datasets record property prices, rents, market rates of return, number of transactions, supply completed, expected supply, stock, vacancy rates and take-up figures for various types of properties. Updates are made monthly, while supply completed, expected supply, stock, vacancy rates and take-up are updated once a year at year-end. Users can download historical version files by date range.

A male worker fell from height while dismantling a work platform on the external wall of a construction site in Tung Chung this afternoon and was certified dead after being sent to hospital. The Labour Department has deployed staff to the scene to investigate and has issued a "provisional notice to stop work" to the relevant contractor, halting the erection, alteration, dismantling and use of such work platforms on the external walls of buildings at the site until it is satisfied that the hazards have been eliminated before work may resume. The Labour Department is fully investigating the cause of the accident and the legal liability of the parties held responsible.

Male worker falls to death while dismantling work platform at Tung Chung construction site; Labour Department issues temporary suspension notice

At a construction site in Tung Chung on the afternoon of October 7, a male worker fell from height while dismantling a work platform and was certified dead after being sent to hospital. The Labour Department has dispatched staff to investigate and has issued a temporary suspension notice to the contractor, halting the erection, alteration, dismantling and use of similar work platforms at the site. 觀塘翠屏北邨火警 13歲男童危坐外牆冷氣機由消防員救援

觀塘翠屏北邨翠桃樓一個單位晚上近8時起火，一名13歲男童一度危坐外牆冷氣機頂部，其後由消防員協助返回單位，男童清醒送往聯合醫院治理。火勢約半小時後救熄，警方指現場曾傳出爆炸聲，消防出動一條喉及一隊煙帽隊，期間有70人自行疏散，起火原因仍在調查。

The government will closely monitor trends in the design of public health facilities and introduce new technologies and equipment where practicable.

漁護署：黃金周日均950人訪破邊洲段 西貢東郊野公園錄19宗執法個案

漁護署表示，10月1日至7日內地黃金周期間，破邊洲段每日平均約950人到訪，10月5日最高峰約1200人次，今日約670人。同期署方在西貢東郊野公園錄得19宗執法個案，橋咀洲每日平均約1370人次，10月4日達2230人次。

The Centre for Food Safety has urged the public not to consume a batch of French-imported prepackaged cheese, Camembert Bertrand Crémier 250g, as the product may be contaminated with Shiga toxin-producing E. coli. The centre received a notification via the European Commission's Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed. Importer Repertoire Culinaire Hong Kong Limited has ceased sale, removed the product from shelves and launched a recall as instructed. The trade should immediately stop using or selling any affected products in their possession.

HKU Medical School develops mobile app to help home-based patients with advanced cancer monitor their condition continuously

HKU Medical School has developed Hong Kong's first one-stop cancer health management app, 'Home Support', enabling home-based patients with advanced cancer to monitor their condition continuously and receive online nurse support. A two-year study, in collaboration with six public hospitals, followed more than 1,200 patients over 18 weeks, of whom 590 users experiencing severe symptoms received follow-up from a dedicated nurse within one to two working days. After 18 weeks, users' proportion of unplanned hospital admissions fell, while their confidence in self-care improved significantly.

Tung Chung construction site worker falls from height and dies; Industrial Casualty Rights Association says 10th similar fatal accident this year

A 30-year-old male worker at a construction site on Wui Tung Street, Tung Chung, was suspected of falling from a height in the afternoon. He was seriously injured and fell into a coma, and was pronounced dead after resuscitation. The Labour Department has dispatched staff to the site and launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. The Industrial Casualty Rights Association said this was the 21st fatal construction accident this year and the 10th death case caused by a fall from height. It is understood that the construction site involved is a Housing Department works project.

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority reminds members of the public that banks will not direct customers to make transactions through hyperlinks in SMS messages or emails, nor will they ever ask for login passwords and one-time passwords. Those who have provided such information should call 2860 5012 to report the case to the Information Centre of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Hong Kong Police Force.
